  • Great place to stay in Anaheim! Two adults stayed here for a week long trip to Disneyland and Southern California. This condo was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Cheryl provided consumables that most rental places don't, including toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, shampoo and soap - a very nice surprise! Both bedrooms are upstairs, along with two full baths. There are no ceiling fans, but even with the July heat, it stayed comfortable. The complex is a little older, but still nice, and we felt safe here. The walk to Disneyland was not bad at all, even in the heat - it would have been more trouble to drive. I would definitely stay here again, and thank Cheryl for sharing her home with us!

  • Hugh H. Mr. Mouse Condo - Excellent Mid-price UnitMr. Mouse Condo - Excellent Mid-price UnitI brought my just-turned-40 daughter for her first visit to Disneyland & southern CA. Property location was perfect. Short walk to the parks. Unit is in middle of the complex, so zero noise. Older but well maintained. Unit very clean and well appointed. Ready access to road systems; we took several road trips to the beaches. Upscale neighborhood. We will definitely be returning to this complex!

Weekend TripThis unit was pleasant enough, although a bit older; we felt the carpet could use a good cleaning. The lower bunk bed mattress was not the most comfortable, however, I don't think it would be as much of an issue for children as it was for adults. Also, the unit got quite warm upstairs on one of the evenings. The kitchen looked nice, but we were only there for the weekend so did not end up using it. We also did not have time to use the pool at the complex. It was great being so close to the parks, however, I would caution that the 5-10 minute walk involved crossing Walnut Street in an area that does not have a crosswalk. We did not find it to be too busy, but would not have been comfortable crossing with small children; I would expect that it would take quite a bit longer to get to the parks if you use the crosswalks, as they were not at all close (although we did not try it, so I can not say for sure how much longer the walk would take). Also, being fairly new to VRBO, I am not sure if this is common, but there were some requirements/strong suggestions regarding cleaning up before you leave that were introduced in the contract; this included doing the dishes and being asked to start a load of sheets in the washing machine. We didn't really mind starting the wash, and we didn't have dishes, but we found it a bit surprising that we needed to do these things when we had to pay a sufficiently large cleaning fee. Overall, I would recommend this unit, as it was nice to be close to the parks, the living room and dining area were nicely furnished and relaxing, there was a parking space included, and the added amenities of a kitchen and pool would be great if staying there for an extended period of time. The unit was well equipped, and we appreciated that they allowed for only two night stays.

  • Evangeline Z. Very Clean, Well Stocked, Toddler Friendly, ConvenientVery Clean, Well Stocked, Toddler Friendly, ConvenientAlthough the place is a bit older, but was well kept and very clean. Toiletries, soaps and all necceaities are well stocked. Very toddler friendly, even have stool for a little kid to reach th sink. Decor and everything is done with family with kids in mind. Location can't be any better, 5-10 min walk to tram to Disney. We enjoyed the fireworks 10 paces outside the front door. Check in and out are extremely easy. We had a fabulous stay here. Thank you Cheryl.

  • Leslie C. Wonderful holiday.Wonderful holiday.Great place to stay. We have a young family and this was our first time in California. We loved all the room and having the full kitchen. Our children loved the pool and hot tub. We are use to swimming In Cold lakes in northern Alberta so this was way better. Very close to Disneyland and easy to get on freeway to head to Universal studios. Will be recommending this place to all my friends for their next visit to Disneyland.

  • HeatherNorthern California Good First Time Family Trip to DIsneyandGood First Time Family Trip to DIsneyandOur family with two kids age 6 and 4 stayed for 4 nights at the townhouse and had a good time. The owner really cares about the facilities and appearance and was updating rugs, lamps, and fixtures even during our stay. The house has very nice decor and is comfortably equipped with nice linens, comfy beds, and extras. We appreciated the paper towels, baggies, laundry soap, shampoo & conditioner (not something other rental homes provide). It was really nice not to have to buy every little thing you would need just for a short trip. We really enjoyed having the kitchen and preferred making our own breakfasts, packing lunch, and even leaving the parks to come back for dinner a few nights. It is a short walk to the tram and not a bad walk to the main gate itself. However, my youngest was a bit too young for the walk on top of all the walking you do in the park. I think she could have benefited from a closer stay on the resort itself but we made do. The town home had two strollers to use but we opted not to take them (our choice). The condo complex itself is 1980s built?? and a bit dated. The pool is very large but nothing fancy. Kids loved it but it wasn't heated and a bit too cold to enjoy in March for the adults. The condo itself had some signs of wear and the plumbing and AC made some loud noises when they first got started. However, everything was in good working order, their was plenty of hot water, and the AC cooled well. Like I said the owner really cares about the interior decor and maintains the comfort and amenities it's just a slightly older complex so it is what it is. The complex was quiet at night except for the fireworks at Disney that go off every night at 9:30pm and are LOUD. You could even see some of them from the condo patio :-). Overall we enjoyed our first family trip and would likely stay at the mouse house again in the future for longer stays because the kitchen and distance to the parks is great and the beds are comfy. If we did a shorter 1 night or 2 night stay we'd probably splurge and stay at a Disney resort property to have a even shorter walk and heated fancy pool.

  • BretMesa, Arizona Great Location - Walk To DisneylandGreat Location - Walk To DisneylandGreat place to stay, but two things stood out the most: 1) Very responsive owner. Our trip involved very short notice & Cheryl (the owner) was VERY responsive and accommodating!!! 2) Location/Location/Location. This townhome is on the "non-hectic" (west) side of Disneyland. In other words, we did not have all of the hotels & traffic. It is a short 5 minute walk to the Disneyland tram, and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The place is exactly what we were hoping for. Yes, it is an older property, but very clean & quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

The townhouse is well stocked with everything you need, and there is plenty of room for everyone. You will find few other vacation rental properties with 2.5 bathrooms - a real plus at the end of the day and in the morning. So much more comfortable than staying in any hotel!

  • Great place for families to stay!! :)We were very pleased with this place. It had everything we needed to make our Disneyland trip go from good to awesome. It was a very nice place with lots of room, not to mention a hottub (which the kids loved!), for everyone to relax after a long day of walking. Every day we walked to Disney land, either through Downtown Disney, which took about 20min, or hopped on the Tram from the Disneyland parking lot which took about 5 min. I think this is the best place and best location for anyone that is planning a trip to Disneyland.

  • DebbieBerlin,Maryland Great location !Great location !The townhouse as just as described and perfect for our family. The only downside was the top bunk in the Childrens room was not safe.. The mattress was so thick and high up there was very little railing security.. The mattress came almost to the edge of the railing so we are afraid to let a child sleep up there for fear of rolling off . The metal ladder was also not comfortable to climb. Otherwise .. Real nice!

  • Jennifer M. Can't wait for our next visit! Can't wait for our next visit! We had a fabulous time at Mr Mouse Townhouse for our trip to Disneyland for my son's third birthday. You can't get any closer without staying at an actual Disneyland property (and paying 3x as much). This fit our needs perfectly and was so convenient to walk back and forth from the park even with a 3 and a 1 year old in tow. Grandma came along as well so it was so great to have two actual separate bedrooms (and 3 bathrooms!) rather than cram us all into one hotel room that would've cost about as much if not more. We were able to come home midday and rest with the kids to head back at night for the shows. The tram was right across the street but several times we just kept walking to the gate and it really wasn't that far much farther. By the time you walk all thru downtown disney doing some shopping you're practically there! THough we didn't end up needing it, was nice to have laundry inside as well as pools and playgrounds on site. Complex was pretty quiet and after a quick stop at Food 4 Less (about a mile away) on our first night we never use our car til we left 4 days later! Next time we head to Disneyland I will for sure be coming back.

  • EnglanderCentral England Closer to Disneyland than any (non-Disney) hotelCloser to Disneyland than any (non-Disney) hotelWell equipped throughout with excellent wi-fi the townhouse was the ideal base for a family with pre-teens. The wash/drier was useful for us too and we were not expecting and so were pleasantly surprised to find domestic "consumables" such as dishwasher tabs, wash liquid and fabric softener provided. In late summer the walk to the Disney tram is an easy 4-5 minutes stroll but this does requires crossing a lightly trafficked street without a crosswalk.

  • Anonymous Perfect for Disney!Perfect for Disney! We found Mr. Mouse Townhouse online and were very pleased when we arrived. We travelled with a toddler and this townhouse complex is perfect for a little one. The townhouse is great as there is a booster/high chair already there as well as pack and plays for little ones to sleep in. The house itself was great and has all you need for a great vacation. The kitchen has all you need and looks over to the dining area and living room. Upstairs has good sided bedrooms and could comfortably sleep 6. If you are planning to go to Disneyland, it is easy to walk to. It was great to be able to go to Disney in the morning, come home for a nap for the little one and revisit the park later that afternoon. The only disadvantage, and this is slight, is that we found the wifi unreliable while there. My husband did have to work for part of the vacation and found this frustrating, however, there is a cord to plug into for constant internet access. I would highly recommend this rental and already have to friends who are considering a Disneyland vacation.

You cannot beat the location (5 minute walk or so to tram stop). House was equipped with everything you could want and was very clean. It is an older townhome but has new appliances and is furnished nicely in a whimsical yet tasteful way. The pool and playground were nice and well maintained as well. Owner is very responsive with any minor questions. The only downside is that the neighborhood has a few shady characters that made me a bit nervous after dark but the area is well lit and we had no problems.

  • LaneSpringville, Utah, USA Clean, well-prepared, excellent locationClean, well-prepared, excellent locationWe stayed here for a week. It was very clean and organized on arrival. The kitchen had everything we would need, as did the rest of the rooms. The location was great for Disneyland, of course. It also happens to be on a street that isn't nearly as busy as everything else in the area, so travel wasn't bad at all. We did Disneyland several times, San Diego, Santa Monica, and Laguna Beach. There are several grocery stores, Walmart, and Target all within short driving distance. We had a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old with us, and Netflix was a lifesaver. The 2-year-old loved having his own bedroom with a big Disney-themed bed. The 1-year-old slept great in a pack-n-play in the master bedroom closet with the door cracked. Standing 10 feet in front of the front door, you can see the Disneyland fireworks pretty well.

  • TravelmomVancouver, BC Very comfortable stayVery comfortable stayWe just returned from our first vacation home rental experience. We are hooked! Mr. Mouse Townhouse had absolutely everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We were there for one reason only: Disneyland. We couldn't have been closer without staying at a Disney hotel. We were literally across the street from Magic Way. This is where people park & ride the Mickey tram to Downtown Disney & the front gates to the parks. However, we just walked to & from the gates many times as it is so close. I think this townhouse was preferable to a cramped hotel room for so many reasons. There were no noisy tourists slamming doors & talking in the hallways, we all had our own bathrooms, and there was a healthy meal waiting in the crockpot if we wanted it at the end of the night after a long day at Disneyland. Yes, the kitchen is even equipped with a crockpot. If you are TV watchers, there are plenty of those as well. The property is immaculate and quiet. We took advantage of the pools, which were also very well On the business end, our dealings were swift and straightforward. I appreciated how smooth it went from beginning to end. Mr. Mouse will definately be our Disney go-to.

The strollers were handy, and it was nice to be able to do some laundry. Everything was nicely labeled and instructions were very clear. The amenities were great and everything was easy to find. It was clean and roomy and exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable, lots of extra bedding and towels, etc. I highly recommend this unit to anyone. There was 7 of us staying (2 adults, 5 kids) and we weren't stepping on each other at all. We had no need to get a hold of the owners during our stay, everything was as it should be. Before our trip, Cheryl was very accommodating and answered all our questions. I would stay here again on our next trip down that way.

  • James and Deborah B. For price and location, you really can't go wrong. For price and location, you really can't go wrong. This unit worked extremely well for our family of 5. I would easily recommend it for a family with 2-4 kids. THE GOOD: - Fantastic location on the side closest to the parks. We just loaded up the double-stroller, crossed the street, and hoofed it in. Didn't pay for parking once. You can even go straight to the monorail if you want to save even more steps. - Amenities. The unit was very well-stocked. We didn't have to pick up anything except our groceries. They even had a crockpot, so when we got home for dinner our meal was waiting for us. The double-stroller they provided upon request really came in handy. - Comfy. The beds were nice and firm but comfortable and the kids slept like rocks. There was one issue mentioned below, but overall it was a very comfortable and clean unit. The NOT-SO-GOOD: - TV situation is not the greatest. They only have Netflix, no cable or normal TV. Also, the sound would sometimes go out for reasons we couldn't figure out. Nice TVs, but functionally not the greatest. Could do with an improvement there. - Although the beds are very comfortable Ikea beds, the master bed slats collapsed the first night, and one other night. We had to lift the mattress off, put the slats back on, and set the mattress back in. It may have just been back luck. I let the owner know and she said she would get it fixed and didn't hold us responsible, so all is well, but it was a pain to deal with. If she fixed it then problem solved, because it really is a comfortable bed. Those two issues were the only things that prevented a 5-star rating. We would gladly stay there again.

  • Katy M. Good Family Space Close to DisneylandGood Family Space Close to DisneylandPros - 1. Tons of space. Our family of 6 slept comfortably with room to spread out. 2. Completely set up for those traveling with an infant or toddler. The condo provided a travel crib, a booster seat, strollers, a baby gate and the travel crib may be set up inside the large master closet. 3. Walking distance to all the Disneyland attractions. Not having to board a bus, shuttle or tram with a stroller is worth the extra couple blocks of walking for us. 4. Extremely clean. 5. Price. The money we saved (not staying on Disney property as a group of 6) could finance another Disney vacation. Cons 1. The outside appearance of the condos is rundown. There are signs everywhere that state there is 24 hour surveillance. There is a mix of residences and vacationers and it did not feel like a welcome mix. 2. Partially updated. We had trouble with the bathtub and were unable to use it. All of the bathroom fixtures are awkward to use. 3. No Air Conditioning. We were here in February and it was still stuffy inside at times. Fans are provided and the windows open. 4. No cable and internet drops often. On vacation this is not that big of a deal, but if you were wanting to watch a sporting event or something on broadcast TV it would not be available. Netflix is provided. 5. To cross legally it adds a bit to your walk to Disney (about 2 blocks). The crosswalk is at Cerritos Ave. Most travelers just jaywalked across the 4 lane road (a bit above Magic Way). This condo is a convenient option for those families wanting to stay close to Disney, but still stay in a budget. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Owner response: There are exterior pictures of the condo complex in the listing so I hope there are no surpirses. It is an older complex, but is very well-kept and the security is a nice feature. This complex is very safe with NO crime. The bathroom fixtures work well. I have instructions posted for operating the on-off knob. Air conditioning was installed March 29, 2014. Cable upgraded in July 2014. And yes, the direct route to the park has no crosswalk, but the street is not busy at all. It is easy to cross 24-hours a day and everyone does it :) Thank you for the kind review!
